On the Blendtech website, both "try this at home" and "don't try this at home" sections include a vast array of demonstrations that help promote this product. However, I personally prefer watching the ridiculousness of the latter, even though the functionality aspect of these videos is nil. Below are a couple of favorites that induce both a sense of anticipation and excitement.
Blended into pure powder! Amazing, right?
In all its amazingness, you might be wondering the appeal these advertisements provide to customers who are actually looking to purchase a blender for more... traditional purposes. Well, for that, Blendtec provides many videos to appeal to such consumers.
My question is, however, is that although this series of ads most definitely increased brand awareness, how much did these ads really increase sales of the product? The cost of their blenders range from $500 to $1,500. Knowing this, would you or have you purchased a Blendtec blender after watching them go to work on such unconventional products?
Regardless of the answer, however, consumers have even uploaded their own "Will it Blend?" videos to YouTube to show just how appreciative they are of the product.
Even though the contents of this recipe don't involve wooden canoe paddles or golf balls, it surely promotes the credibility and functionality of this product.
